For all those rockers who wish they had their electric guitars with them while traveling, or those air guitarists or Guitar Hero fans who want to tap their inner rock star, Norwegian Epic is the ship for you!  We just announced an exclusive partnership with Gibson Guitars to let guests “Check-in-Rock Out” on board.  You can rent a Gibson guitar and a pod, which is a private amplifier with headphones, and take them to the privacy of your stateroom to rock out without disturbing other guests. The pod ensures that the only one hearing you play is yourself!  Cost is $10 per day rental and guitars and accessories will be available at Fat Cats Jazz and Blues Club.   Try it out – you just might find your inner rock star!

Experience the Ultimate Chill on Norwegian Epic’s New Ice Bar

Posted on May 13th, 2010 by ncladmin 3 comments

Come in from the heat and experience the first ice bar at sea – and one of only 14 true ice bars in the world – on board Norwegian Epic.  The frozen chamber of iced vodka is as hip as it is cool – the centerpiece of the bar is a giant ice cube that glows and changes colors as the hottest techno beats pump up the energy.  The bar, tables, stools, glasses and life-size sculptures are all made from ice.  The temperature will not rise above 17 degrees Fahrenheit, so to keep you toasty inside, guests are given faux fur coats, gloves and hats.  The ice bar accommodates 25 people and guests can stay for up to 45 minutes.  Cost is $20 per person and includes two specialty drinks.  The ice bar will be open nightly from 5-10pm.  Check it out and experience the ultimate chill!
